Welcome to the official web site of the Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Association.  We are always under development and will adding new information and features regularly.

   SOQHA was started in 1963 and has been an active and progressive organization since then. Our Winter Circuit Horse Show is the second largest quarter horse show in Ohio (second only to the All American Quarter Horse Congress).

   We also have a very successful Futurity which is held in conjunction with a 3 day AQHA show. Futurity classes include both open and non-pro halter, longe line, 2 and 3 year old hunter under saddle and 2 and 3 year old snaffle bit western pleasure classes. There is also a Breeders division which is open to only the get of the stallions whose service is donated to our annual sale. We paid out over $50,000 in prize money in 2001.

   We have a very active youth organization that sponsors two shows a year and sends a team to represent us at the Quarter Horse Congress. SOQHA contributes $6000 annually to a scholarship program for our youth.
